Lines and Spots

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu May 09, 2002 10:41 am

Occassionally, about every two or three months, one eye starts out with a flashing spot in front of it, then the spot goes to a line and continues going to the side of my vision until it disappears. This takes about 15 minutes. Is this related to Mascular Degeneration? I wear glasses for nearsightedness and astygmatism and I have an appointment to see my eye doctor.
Thank you.

No, macular degeneration presents differently. Sounds like an ophthalmic migraine. Wait to see what your Dr. says.
