Graves Ophthalmopathy

I am diagnosed with graves disease of thyroid and I am conserned about graves ophthalmopathy.Five to six month before I have had headaches and pain in my orbits like something push my eyes out,eyes swelling in the morning and occasionally high heart rate.
The last sign sent me to the doctor who said promptlly that it is panic atack but later the analysis return for graves. Now I want to know if taking corticosteroides could prevent the ophthalmopathy.
