There are many, many doctors who can provide you with either an X-chrome or a chromagen contact lens. They are pretty much the same. You are fit with a single contact lens in one eye with a red center. It will indeed help you to pass the ishara test, but most police departments etc will not allow you to wear the lens for the test. The reason is that it is difficult to wear at night and you might have to wear it at night to perform your job.
I fit many individuals with the lens, but only when they fully understand its shortcomings.
